How do I Resend a Message?
There are three ways to send a message again, depending on what you need.
| You want to… | Use |
|---|---|
| Send the same campaign again | Forward on the campaign report |
| Retry only the numbers that didn't receive it | Filter and message selected recipients |
| Finish a broadcast that stopped part-way | Complete Broadcast on the Campaigns list |
Forward a Campaign
- Open the campaign from Campaigns.
- Click Forward.
- The matching compose screen opens with the same sender ID and message, plus:
- Messages to individuals: the same numbers.
- Group messages: the same groups. The message goes to their current members.
- File messages: the same file. If it's no longer available, click Upload New File to add it again.
- Personalized messages: the same template.
- Review everything, make any changes, and send.
Retry Recipients Who Didn't Receive It
- Open the campaign from Campaigns.
- Click Show Filters and pick a Status, such as UNDELIV, EXPIRED or NOCREDT.
- Tick the recipients to retry.
- Click Message N Selected (for example, Message 12 Selected). Compose SMS opens with their numbers.
- Add your message and send it. The original text isn't carried over, so select and copy it from the report's CONTENT section first if you need it.
Complete a Stalled Broadcast
If a campaign stopped before reaching everyone, you can finish it from Campaigns without sending twice to people who already got it. See Complete a Stalled Broadcast.
Before You Resend
- Resending is charged again, at the usual rates.
- Wait for final statuses. Networks can take up to 24 hours to confirm delivery. See What Do Delivery Statuses Mean?.
- Recharge first if recipients show NOCREDT. See Recharging Your Account.
- Fix invalid numbers. Numbers that show REMOVED won't go through until they're corrected.
