How do I Delete a Contact?

Delete contacts you no longer need, or take them out of one group while keeping them in your contacts.

Delete Contacts Permanently

1. Click Contacts in the left sidebar.
2. Tick the box beside each contact you want to delete. Use Filter Contacts to find them.
3. Click Delete.
4. In Confirm Action!, click yes.

DartPro shows Contacts Deleted. The contacts are also removed from every group they were in.

⚠️ This can't be undone

Deleted contacts are gone for good. To message them again, add or import them again.

Messages you already sent aren't affected. They stay in Campaigns and Message Logs.

Remove Contacts from One Group Only

1. Click Groups in the left sidebar and open the group.
2. Tick the box beside each contact to remove.
3. Click Delete.
4. In Confirm Action!, click yes.

The contacts leave that group but stay in your contacts and in any other groups. To delete them completely, follow the steps above.

Deleting Many Contacts

Selection covers the page you're viewing. To select more contacts at once, set rows per page to 100, then repeat on each page.

When Contacts Leave on Their Own

If a group uses SMS opt-in, a contact who texts the group's opt-out code is removed from that group. If they don't belong to any other group, DartPro deletes the contact. See How do I Let Contacts Opt In by SMS?.
