What Do Delivery Statuses Mean?
Each recipient of a message has a delivery status. You'll see it in campaign reports, Message Logs and downloaded reports.
Statuses
| Status | Meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| PENDING | Queued in DartPro, not yet handed to a network | Wait. It changes once sending starts |
| SENT | Handed to the network, waiting for delivery confirmation | Wait for the network's report |
| DELIVRD | Delivered to the recipient's phone | Nothing, it arrived |
| UNDELIV | The network couldn't deliver it | Check the number, or try again later |
| EXPIRED | The network stopped trying before it could deliver, for example because the phone was off for a long time | Try again later |
| FAILED | Sending failed on the network or route | Try again later |
| REJECTD | Rejected by the network or provider | Check your sender ID's approval and the message content |
| DND | Blocked by the Do-Not-Disturb register | The recipient has opted out of such messages |
| NOCREDT | Not sent, because your balance ran out | Recharge, then resend to those numbers |
| REMOVED | Not sent, because the number is invalid or couldn't be routed | Correct the number. Removed numbers aren't charged |
Final and Changing Statuses
- PENDING and SENT can still change.
- All other statuses are final for that message.
- Networks can take up to 24 hours to confirm delivery, so a message can show SENT for a while before it becomes DELIVRD or another final status.
Statuses Through the API
If you send through the API, you can receive these statuses automatically. See Delivery Reports.
