How do I Delete a Group?

Delete groups you no longer need. The contacts in a deleted group stay in your contacts.

Delete Groups

1. Click Groups in the left sidebar.
2. Select each group you want to delete. Use Search groups by name or description... to find them.
3. Click Delete Groups (the delete icon beside the number selected).
4. In Confirm Action!, click yes.

What Happens When You Delete a Group

• Contacts stay. Members remain in your contacts and in any other groups.
• Opt-in stops. The group's opt-in and opt-out codes stop working.
• Scheduled messages to the group reach no one. Group messages find their groups when they're sent, so check Schedules before you delete a group.

⚠️ This can't be undone

A deleted group can't be restored. To keep a copy of its members, clone the group or export it to Google first.

Delete a Group and Its Contacts

Deleting a group keeps its contacts. To remove the people as well, delete them from the Contacts page first (see How do I Delete a Contact?), then delete the group.
