How do I Schedule Messages?

Write a message now and have it go out later. Every compose screen can schedule, and the Schedules calendar lets you review, move or cancel what's planned.

Schedule a Message

  1. Compose your message on any compose screen: To Individuals, To Groups, To File Contacts or From Template.
  2. Switch Send Immediately to Schedule for Later.
  3. Choose the Broadcast Time.
  4. Click Schedule Message.

DartPro shows Message Scheduled. If your calendar is empty, you can also click Schedule your first message on the Schedules page.

Manage Scheduled Messages

Click Schedules in the left sidebar to open Scheduled Messages, a calendar with month, week and day views.

  • See the details: click a message to open Schedule Details. It shows the sender, the message, and the recipients, groups or Uploaded File, plus the Broadcast Date.
  • Reschedule: drag the message to a new day or time on the calendar. DartPro confirms Broadcast Successfully Rescheduled.
  • Cancel: open Schedule Details and click Cancel Schedule.

How Scheduled Messages Are Sent

  • On time. DartPro checks for due messages every minute, so a message goes out within about a minute of its broadcast time. It appears in Campaigns once it starts sending.
  • Latest details. Group members, contact details and templates are read when the message is sent.
  • Group names matter. Scheduled group messages find their groups by name, so don't rename or delete those groups before the send time.
  • Do-Not-Disturb hours. If you schedule a promotional message between 8:00 PM and 8:00 AM, DartPro moves it to 8:00 AM. When you drag a message to a new time, choose a time outside those hours yourself.

When You're Charged

To change the setting, click Settings in the left sidebar, open the SMS Messaging tab and find Scheduled Message Billing:

  • In Advance (Recommended): the charge is deducted when you schedule, so the message goes out even if your balance runs low later.
  • At Send Time: the charge is deducted when the message sends, and the send fails if your balance is too low at that moment.
