How do I Manage Recordings?
Each Catchup entry has a Recording Details screen, where you can watch it, change how it appears in Catchup, replay it on your channel or delete it.
Open a Recording
In Catchup, click the entry's card. Recording Details opens, with:
- Player: the recording starts playing.
- Title and description: as they appear in Catchup.
- STREAMED ON: when it aired, and when it finished.
- RECORDING DURATION: how long it is.
- LOG INFORMATION: the entry's ID and LOCATION.
To go back to the list, click the back arrow next to Recording Details.
If a Recording Won't Play
| The player says | What it means |
|---|---|
| The playable copies of this broadcast were deleted to free up space. Re-encode it in the media library to watch it again. | The video's master copies were deleted. Re-encode the video in the Media Library. See Re-encode a Clip |
| This broadcast was deleted to free up space and cannot be recovered. | The video's files are gone for good. Delete the entry |
| This broadcast has no playable copy on disk. | The video may still be processing. Check it in the Media Library |
Edit Recording Details
- Click the edit icon (Edit title and description) next to the title.
- In Edit Details, change:
- Title: required, up to 255 characters.
- Description: what viewers should know about the broadcast, up to 2,000 characters.
- Air time: when the entry is shown as having aired.
- Click Save Changes. Cecula Stream confirms Recording details updated.
Things to know:
- Only Catchup changes. The video in your Media Library keeps its own name.
- Air time sets the order. Catchup is sorted by air time, so changing it moves the entry in the list. Its finish time moves with it.
- Titles affect merge suggestions. Catchup suggests merging recordings that share a title, location and description. If you rename one part of a split broadcast, rename the other parts the same way. See How do I Merge Recordings?.
Replay a Recording on Your Channel
You can schedule a Catchup entry to air again, for example as a repeat of Sunday's service.
- On Recording Details, click Schedule. Replay Scheduler opens.
- In Start Date & Time, choose when it should air. It must be in the future.
- Under Broadcast Options, tick Hide News Ticker or Hide Watermark if you don't want them shown during the replay.
- Click Confirm Schedule. Cecula Stream confirms Scheduled successfully!
The replay appears on your Schedule. If the time overlaps another scheduled broadcast, choose a different time. See How do I Schedule a Broadcast?.
Delete a Recording
- Do one of these:
- In Catchup, click the delete icon (Delete Recording) on the card.
- On Recording Details, click Delete Recording.
- Click Delete to confirm.
Cecula Stream confirms Catchup recording deleted successfully. The entry is removed from Catchup, and viewers can no longer watch it there.
The video stays in your Media Library, and still uses storage. To free the storage, delete the video in the Media Library. See Delete Media.
