Channels

A channel is one continuous stream. Each channel has its own media library, programming, stream key, subscription and watch page. You can own several channels, and help manage channels that other people own.

My Channels

My Channels is the first screen you see after signing in to stream.cecula.com. It lists every channel you own or help manage. Each card shows the channel's poster, status and plan.

  • Open a channel: click its card or Manage Channel. The channel's Overview opens.
  • Create a channel: click Create Channel, or the New Channel card. See How do I Create a Channel?.
  • Answer an invitation: invitations to help manage someone else's channel appear under Pending Manager Invitations. See Accept an Invitation.

The left sidebar also has Subscription Plans, where you compare plans, and Invoices, which lists your payments. See How do Channel Subscriptions Work?.

The Channel Menu

When you open a channel, its menu appears on the left. The items you see depend on your role on the channel.

Editors can make changes on the screens they see, except the details on Live Stream. Viewers can open the same screens as editors but can't change anything. See Roles.

When a Subscription Expires

When a channel's subscription ends:

  • Broadcasting is deactivated. The watch page shows This channel's subscription has expired., and encoders can't connect.
  • Most screens are locked. Only the Overview opens. Opening any other screen returns you to the Overview with Your subscription has expired. Access to other pages is restricted., and changes to the channel are refused.
  • A notice appears in the channel menu. Click Renew in the Subscription Expired notice to pay for a new period.

This applies to everyone on the channel, including team members. See Renew or Extend.
